The International Analog Forestry Network
The International Analog Forestry Network was established in 1996 as a response to the need to maintain an exchange of knowledge, experience and up-to-date information between groups interested in learning, promoting and applying an Analog Forestry system in their own area.
The primary objective of the Network is to restore ecosystems environmental stability and biodiversity, through research, design and application of the Analog Forestry system.
The Network also aims to:
- Promote and disseminate the principles, concepts and methodology of Analog Forestry systems.
- Encourage the use and practice of Analog Forestry in diverse and varied environments.
- Maintain continued communication with the members of the Network and promote the integration of new members.
- Initiate investigation into the application of Analog Forestry in different ecosystems and process findings for distribution.
- Promote the adoption of the certification system “Forest Garden Products” to ensure the proper implementation, design and management of Analog Forestry.
